Sir Harold Hillier Wedding Photography | Elisa and Steve

Bride and Groom wedding portrait
My first Mexican themed wedding, and I hope it's not my last because it was awesome! Elisa and Steve chose the superb Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Hampshire for their ceremony and celebrations. With Elisa's Mexican roots there were plenty of cultural elements to make those guests who had travelled across the Atlantic feel right at home: from Mexican food, a piñata, tequila and not forgetting the Mariachi band. Blended with the English wedding traditions, it really was a fantastic day to photograph.

The gardens at Sir Harold Hillier are sensational and taking Elisa and Steve for a walk through the variety of flora was a lot of fun. The good times continued at the outdoor reception with live music from Steve and his group of talented friends. This was followed by piñata smashing and speeches, both which were excellently received. Delicious food, an amusing pub quiz and dancing to the Mariachi band continued the festivities well into the night to draw an end a wonderful day.

Please enjoy this snapshot of Elisa and Steve's day.

Trevenna wedding photography Cornwall | Sarah and Darren

Trevenna wedding photography Bride and Groom
Sarah and Darren chose to have an intimate wedding at Trevenna, a stylish cluster of barns nestled in the Cornish countryside near Liskeard. With fewer guests and an emphasis on a relaxed and informal occasion, it really was a fabulous day to photograph with a little less pressure than usual. The gorgeous late summer weather was a welcome addition and meant the ceremony could be held outside for that extra special touch. There was fantastic styling from the plethora of sunflowers to the giant pastel balloons and everyone had a great time dancing to the outrageously good Mister Kanish, who are quite possibly the most awesome wedding band I've heard. All in all, a damn fine wedding!
So please enjoy this selection from Sarah and Darren's wedding at Trevenna.

Surrey Wedding Photography | Hayley and Dan

Spring. Summer. Autumn. Winter.

Everyone has a favourite season. As a wedding photographer I'd be expected to say that Summer is particularly appealing, which of course, it is, but the seasons either side can give quite beautiful results as well with more subtle light and colour and there is always less expectation for perfect weather, so when it happens... it's just lovely.

It was just so for Hayley and Dan, who were married back in September and picked a fantastic day for it. I thoroughly enjoyed capturing the preparations of both bride and groom. My job gives me the special privilege of seeing the behind-the-scenes action, and capturing this emotional story as creatively as possible is always highly rewarding.

The big moment arrived at the local chapel with an uplifting Catholic ceremony and the celebrations continued at Woodlands Park Hotel. Stunning floral arrangements and immaculate table decor set the scene. I took Hayley and Dan off for some some relaxed photos around the grounds before we headed back to the party.

Enjoy this selection from their day.
