Bailbrook House Wedding Photography | Helen and Dan

Helen and Dan's wedding was right on my doorstep in Bath at the grand Bailbrook House. With magnificent views across the city and a setting that could quite easily lend itself to a Pride and Prejudice set, it is a wonderful place to get married in Bath.

With Helen elegant and beautiful in her dress, Dan also cut a fine figure in one of the sharpest tweed suits I've ever seen. The weather was touch and go, and Dan got well and truly caught in a downpour... but the rain moved off in the morning, and it all came right as the sun eventually broke through to give me some magical light to play with before the party got well under way.

Newton House wedding photography | Claire and Jon

Claire and Jon married at the idillic Newton House in Derbyshire back in May and I had the pleasure of capturing their day unfold. Jonny A as he is better known to me, is an old rugby mate from my university days and I gladly accepted when he asked if I would be interested in shooting his wedding. They are an amazing duo Claire and Jon, and are one of those couples who just come alive in each other's presence. That is part of what I try and show in my images of couples: the unique connection they have with each other. Taking an authentic portrait of couples involves them being comfortable with you, essentially forgetting you are there and focusing instead on the person in front of them.

Newton House offers a fantastic backdrop to any wedding, with pristine grounds to lose yourself in, and the perfect party barn to host the reception. I thoroughly enjoyed this wedding, as I do every wedding, I guess I just love my job too much ;)

Somerset Farm Wedding Photography | Tors and Mike

With a huge backlog of awesomeness to get on blog I have decided to change tack slightly on how I present my wedding blogs. I am always so focused on delivering the end product to my couples, often within weeks of the wedding, that I tend to leave blogging as something I end up doing way down the line. So rather than showing the whole day,  I am going to have to contain myself and choose just a few favourites, always leaving you wanting more ;) Perhaps I will do a full feature blog now and again...

So first up here is the incredible Tors and Mike. A beautiful couple whose family farm hosted the celebrations in Somerset. Farm weddings are always a blast, maybe it's the fresh air that gets everyone in the mood, that or perhaps it's the barrels of cider and ale on tap! Either way these two were amazing. Enjoy this little peek at their day :)

Dorset wedding photography | Liz and Ted

I was down in Dorset for the wedding of Liz and Ted way back in April, yet it seems like only yesterday I was walking down the cobbled old streets of Poole with the newlyweds and capturing the two of them giggling and laughing with each other. After a beautiful civil ceremony in the Guildhall the guests jumped on board a fabulous Routemaster to take them to The True Lovers Knot, a quintessential  English pub where the reception got under way. The party went well into the night thanks to Show Me The Money, one of the coolest bands I've seen at a wedding, who made sure the crowd were kept warm in the outdoor marquee dance floor :)
